Utilizing a secure, third-party, confidential database, Beef Passport captures and organizes all critical information related to cattle movement and third-party verification documentation, which empowers producers, feeders, and packers to verify compliance along every piece of the supply chain. Central to these programs is the source and age verification program, as well as Electronic Identification (EID) tags.
With the help of EID tags, Beef Passport facilitates accurate traceability of individual animals and allows for the integration of various verification programs alongside the new Certified Product of the USA program ensuring comprehensive traceability in beef production.

How the Verification Process Works
Sign Up
Create your personalized Beef Passport account with a secure username and password.
Input Data
Enter cattle information, including EID tags, source details, and age data Each user will see a slightly different user interface depending on their place in the supply chain.
Traceability
Cattle movements are traced throughout the supply chain for all users from birth through harvest.
Generate Reports Producers can use filters to sort and search for specific documents, EID tags, etc. One of the best features is the ability to see a CARE Certified scorecard. Producers can see scores for each pillar with an overall score and ranking of all CARE suppliers. CARE Certified beef producers are the best of the best, which means they are looking for ways to innovative and continuously improve. This feature allows them to see their overall performance in comparison to other ranches. Identifying information of other ranches used for comparison is kept confidential.
Renewal:
The certification must be renewed annually, ensuring ongoing compliance with VNB standards.
